Hi I am new to welding I just want to do soom minor welding with sheet metal . What type of welder would I need? Is a propane good enough ? Please give me some advice I dont know any welders Thanks

I doubt if a mixture of oxygen and propane will be hot enough. If you going to gas weld it you need a mixture of oxygen and acetylene. You could always braze it, but the heat will most likely warp your sheet metal. The best process is to use solid wire MIG with a semi-inert shielding gas and 0.8mm dia welding wire.

Have fun
John
