Hi,

Can someone tell me the names of substances/alloys used in manufacturing of metal base (E-27, E-14, B-22 etc) of lamps.

I have seen some manufacturers whose bulb's base are very very shiny. What substance do they use to make the base shiny ?

Thank you.

In old times they where made from a kind of brass.
Now they are from aluminiun or a same like alloy, maybe anodized to shine.
