Beyond load testing (may need to use a model of some description - verify that it is representative) I would ask the question how will it stand up to its worst expected punishment. Presumably that would be bouncing semi trailors under full legal load. Lay up some test samples (min of six for a meaningful statistical sample) and compare their destruct loads to truck bounce loads.
