Hello,
I am in the market to purchase a rheometer for testing of slurry, thickened tailings and paste (high solids content)backfill.

I have looked at several models including TA Instruments, Fann, Thermo Haake, Brookfield & others. Can anyone recommend a specific make/model and spindle geometry?

Some of the models I looked at seemed to have loads of features that I would not necessarily need or use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Regards,
Ryan

First- ask yourself what are the most important properties.
Second- Send samples to many manufactures of rheometers to perform a test of your materials (Normally Free).
Third- choose a system that can perform the testing, and last a long time in the lab.
