In table 503 of IBC what is the difference between the Type II A and Type II B construction? For that matter what is the difference between A and B in any of the types of construction listed. I have searched Code for an answer if you know please tell where I can find the it.

If you examine Table 601, you'll notice the differences in fire-resistance rating requirements. "A" generally has more restrictive requirements than "B".
