WPS for 0.28 cr steel

HI

Please tell me the requirment of preheat, postheat and PWHT for surface buildup on a shaft of dia 115mm and material having 0.28% Cr.

What else can you tell us about the base material? Do you have the ASTM or other designation? Suggest you post this question on the metallurgy forum.

Hi,

if you want an answer, we need more informations on the chemical composition. I mean that Cr% is not enough. for instance, if there are some Mo%, some V% (in plus of C%) the material welding caracteristics can change.
