RE: godown wiring diagram

Hi...
Question..is this just for a two bulb..or there is 3rd..fourth and so on to do same thing?..Anyway if it is just for a two bulb this is what I will do...I will pick up two momentary push button and two relay...Coil of relay 1 connected across the first bulb and coil of relay 2 connected 2nd bulb  parallel. They should have same voltages. First push button as you entered the door is connected across the normally open of Coil 1 and the combination is connected to the normally closed of relay 2 and again this combination is connected to the coil/bulb no.1.

As you step forward, pressing push button two which is connected across the normally open of relay two will latch the circuit after connecting this combination in series the parallel combination of relay 2 and bulb 2. As soon as bulb two turned on the normally closed contact on the bulb 1 circuit will drop which then turned off your bulb 1.

You can also put a timer or a reset button somewhere if you want the bulb 2 to turn off automatically.

I know its difficult to describe this without an illustration..

I am not sure if you can buy same system on your local hardware..

If you can give more info on what you want to do..I don't mind making a drawing, fax it and let an electrician wire it for you.....free of charge..

good luck

hi dydt! the question is for more than two bulbs say 6 bulbs. i am again presenting the scenario if it is not clear. " i enter in a room and press a button,  bulb#1 becomes ON. i step forward and press 2nd button and bulb#2 becomes ON but bulb#1 becomes OFF. on further moving ahead when i press 3rd button bulb#3 becomes ON and bulb#2 becomes OFF and so on up to bulb#6. on returing, when i press 6th button bulb#6 becomes OFF and bulb#5 ON. similarly when 5th button is pressed bulb#5 is OFF and bulb#4 becomes ON and in same way up to bulb #1.when 1st button is pressed on return bulb#1 becomes OFF." i think it is now clear than before. please email me drawing on              farrukh5@hotmail.com
