Hi,

I have been looking at some KVM switches and have been outraged at the price that they cost some are for 150 dollars!!!.

Isnt a KVM switch nothing more than a multiplexer switching between the two computers.

Is it possible to build one or is there something that I'm missing.

For the most part, it is just a switch. However, for PS2 inputs, with keyboard and mouse, disconnection of either usually results in the losing the interface operability.

Presumably, the KVM switches are able to fool the OS into thinking that the interface is still connected.
