Zinc Oxide - French vs American Process

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in performance of American process Zinc Oxide as compared to French process Zinc Oxide in polychloroprene compounds? I want to sub French process zinc oxide for American process zinc oxide due to supply concerns. Formula is general purpose based on a G-type CR. Thanks.

Should be less concern going that way, as the "French process" generally gives a purer product.
