zilog encore development enviroment buggs

I have given up on using my development enviroment for
the Zilog encore chips. It appears to be so buggy that
I don't even know where to start with a support question.

Does anyone else have experience with this system.
Should I give it another try before going to the
MSP430 from TI.

Hi, are you sure it's the board at fault? What sort of problems are you getting? Have you tried posting in the various news groups.

Internal compiler errors.
build procedure seems almost random.
no instructions.
Failure writing to chip with no explanation

Its all academic now
I stomped the damn thing into the carpet and
ordered a microchip pic kit.

So you wouldn't recommend it then. At least you allways know where you are with a pic.
