Y14.5 Dimensioning Question

Is it okay to have datum and ordinate dimensioning done on the same drawing per Y14.5?
 
If I understand what you mean by 'datum dimensioning' I don't generally like mixing them but if properly applied then yes it's OK and there are cases where you might want mostly ordinates and then a few direct dimensions to reflect functional requirements.

I assume you are setting your 0 ordinate origins to correspond with your datums.
