I have a drawing with several large xrefs.
we have xcliped the reference files for a project.
I need to send them to a client so I.
I set bindtype to 1
-xref b *
This binds the xref.
This is good but I need to change the layer names, combined layers, change color and plot style.
If they explode the xref they lose the xclip and the get the hole drawing.
Is there a better way?
It would be nice if I could copy just what is on the drawing.
keeping the the color and layer names then changing it with lisp.

Thanks

Hi, not2me:

If you just want it to take a look at it, you might as wall have a copyclip image (pbrush) or dwfout it.

When you bind the x-refs, why not use the insert option, explode then modify as you see fit (not to mention how much extraneous info you could remove before sending).

Dude,
I would agree w/ RobertTX ....
DWFOUT.

"ExpressView" or "Volo View" (FREE) from AutoDesk should give your client enough tools to display layers on or off and plot to any scale.

Of course, your client needs to download these VIEWERs.

Later Guy..
