WPQ thickness range

Dear all

I have a welding procedure qualification (test coupon 17.1mm)with two different process GTAW with 2 layers of 5mm and 12.1mm with SMAW.

i want to replace the GTAW process by SMAW process.What is the range of qualification of this welding procedure qualification according ASME lX???

Deposited weld metal thickness is limited to 24.2 mm [24] with SMAW. Base metal thickness max is 34.2 mm [34 mm]
