i have to make a wormwheel module 1.33 but i do not have a hob for this.
i got a module 1.25, my question is can i do something so the pitch will be that of module 1.33?
You need tools to cut economically worm gears. If the hob is for module[ ]1.25, it cuts module[ ]1.25 gears. If you assemble your gears loosely, it might work, but this is an awful solution.
*Spigor thanks for the reply, i'll be doing only the wormwheel.
*Drawoh, i think the original gear is DP's and not metrics; so when i measured the pitch it's something ca.1.33.
i googled DP's equivalent to metric and DP19 is like 1.337.
That is not a good method. If you have an even number of teeth, you can measure the OD and count teeth. Read up on gear addendums. You should be able to guess at the tooth size (20DP?) and work out a pitch diameter. If you have an odd number of teeth, read up on measuring between pins.
