Worm Ring as a Driver

I have never worked with gears and I am lost.I have an application in which the worm ring will be the driver of the worm. The driven worm will be mounted on a shaft, in which another worm (opposite rotation) is attached. The opposite rotation worm would then drive another worm ring. Has this been done and if so, where can information be found. i.e. lead angle

It's very unusual to try to drive a worm with a ring. Unless you have a very high lead angle (35 to 45 degrees) it will either be very inefficient or will not work at all. With low lead angles, there's a good chance you'll get into friction lock.
