Jan 15, 2005 #2 haggis Mechanical May 18, 2002 290 solitzer, Yes, this is the force applied to the teeth of the wormgear by the worm. This force has an equal and opposite force axially on the worm which is transfered to the thrust bearings at the end of the worm shaft. Haggis Upvote 0 Downvote
