Hello

We are moving over from NX8.5 native to NX10 and TC10.

I'm currently working with our new drawing templates (we are using master modelling principle). On the NX drawing I would like to have the information approved, obsolete or not approved written. This information should come from TC workflow status. To write approved or obsolete should be just to map the right attribute between TC and NX. If there are no status yet, is it then possible to automatically write NOT Approved? and this get changed when it receives a status?

Just make the default value for the attribute of interest to be 'NOT Approved'. Then when the status changes, it should update this value with the current status.

As John says, If the default value of the mapped attribute is "Not Approved", you should get what you look for.

A tip on the side, when you map text to TC-synchronized attributes, If the attribute should switch between "" and "text", i.e from "empty" to "text".
instead of empty, "" set a dash "-" as the "empty value".
- The mapped text will then be selectable in NX, if the mapped text is "", it very difficult to select in NX.

Hi

I have added this in attribute Templates:

Category
Title: Release Status
Alias
Data type: String
Constraint Type: None
Default Value: NOT APPROVED
Proxy Attribute for Locking: NO PROXY

In the template drawing I have added: <WRef1*0@Release Status>

As long as the Item is not released it does not write anything, when I release it then it writes APPROVED.
