I'm analyzing an existing wooden retaining wall with dead man anchorage. I have scoured the internet for design methodology, has anyone had success. I have assumed that the shear capacity of the units is the shear capacity of the 15M rebar that was dowelled into each course at 0.6 m centers + N*tan(friction angle of wood on wood (internet suggested 14 degrees). Am in in the right direction? Should preface by saying I'm checking this as if it were an MSE wall.
