Wood Pellets - Saturated bulk weight estimation

Just trying to determine a structural fault-case load action, based on a scenario where industrial wood pellets become dowsed with sprinkler water, and become saturated.

I have the following information, but am struggling to find much else:

* Bulk Density is stated as 650 kg/m^3
* Porosity for the above is stated as 50%
* Moisture Content of the pellet is stated as 10%
* There is a statement that pellets swell 2x to 3x by volume on contact with water.

I imagine the bulk material to act somewhat like a sponge, and therefore the overall load on my support structure should increase if the material becomes saturated. However I'm having trouble estimating what this increase could be. Any ideas? Am I barking up the wrong tree??
