Wood Diaphragm Deflection under ASCE 41-17

I am trying to calculate the deflection of larger wood diaphragm of an existing building to check the seismic separation. I used SDPWS Eq 4.2-1 to calculate the diaphragm deflection using my pseudo static shear force. However, using ASCE 41-17, I am coming up with almost 2x the deflection I would calculate with ASCE 7-16. The numbers make sense given the R-value and Cd factor with ASCE 7-16. I am just questioning whether I was correct in using the pseudo static shear to calculation diaphragm deflection in ASCE 41-17. Does anyone have experience with this aspect of ASCE 41-17?
 
The drift calcs for seismic are supposed to be at the strength level, so that's perhaps part of the discrepancy.

Can't really wade into this because there aren't any specifics. Wood diaphragm, I suppose since you're mentioning the SDPWS...
 
I believe "Example Application Guide for ASCE/SEI 41-13 Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Buildings" has an example of this (wood diaphragm deflection). While it is based on ASCE 41-13, it has Additional Commentary for ASCE/SE"I 41-17.
