My index and middle fingers have been feeling strained from SolidWorking, and I'm particularly concerned about hand health being a working musician, so I went out and bought a Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. Didn't care so much about wireless or not, but the shape of the mouse is very big and unconventional, and supports the fingers nicely.
Problem being, clicking of the scroll wheel to rotate around the model is completely buggy... one out of every 3 or 4 tries, the middle mouse button simply doesn't respond. I've tried setting the scroll wheel button to both "Middle Click" and "Autoscroll", the only two options that seem to make sense in the Intellipoint software, and they both act the same way.
Lastly, some observations I've noticed: clicking on or near the model seems to help the wheel button respond, whereas clicking outside of the model is often unresponsive. Also, interestingly, I don't see problems with the responsiveness of the wheel button in any other programs?! So why is this happening in SolidWorks?
