Wire or acorn body

Using NX 8.5.1.3 and "Reusable Pocket"
I get an error message "Modeler error: Wire or acorn body unsuitable for this operation" when I check 'Find Intersections Automatically' and select a body to subtract.
Works ok if I leave it unchecked and select the intersected bodies manually.
Any ideas as to the problem?
