hello,

after installing Solidworks 2006 I got some problems with my Windows XP Home. The updates dont want to work any more, my Windows Defender doesnt want to update any more and Windows Live Messenger and/or MSN doesnt work any more either.

I want to know if there are more people with the same problems an how I can fix it.

thanks, Willem-Jan

Hello,

For running Solidworks you need Windows XP Professional.

Notnecessarily true. I have run SolidWorks 2006 on Windows XP home with no problems at all.

Try this one

While installing keep antivirous software disable.

Also on solidworks site its recomened that XP professional to use.
