If a wind turbine can create enough PSI to pump water, why would the turbine not be run off hydraulic lines and pumps to create electricity over using the current mechanical system? Would there not be less friction, less maintenance and weight at the turbine if it was a hydraulic system? Would it not be easier to regulate the PSI rather than having a gear system to control the load?
