Hi all:

I'm looking at a project for the installation of some roller shutters in our property, but I got confused over the description of the manufacturer's catalogue on wind resistance.

The catalogue mentions "wind resistance class 6" but I would like to have a correspondence to a wind speed as it will be easier for me to compare with our area weather conditions.

I tried to make some search but I could only find "wind class" but this ranges from 0-4 and Beaufort Scale, which goes up to 12 or 13.

So I'm not sure if there is other scale or the manufacturer is referring to Beaufort scale.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

There once was a time when the phone was used for something other than distracting you while you were driving, or allowing you to ignore the people you are with. And, I wouldn’t bother to call the manufacturer, since they are blind anyway (per 3DDave), they probably can’t see to read their literature and test reports. But, who would know their product better than the product designer and manufacturer, maybe they still have someone on staff who can provide a little engineering info. and customer service, may be worth a try.
