I have an open structure (gable roof) with slope of 53 degrees. Per ASCE 7-05 table 6-18B, it only provides pressures for the roof up to 45 degrees. What pressure would you use for slopes greater than 45? I would consider using wall pressures, except for an open structure ASCE does not define any wall pressures so I am curious what others would do. Should I treat the roof like a sign?

I might use the ASCE 7 wind loads on signs

I am of the curious type eventho. I do not deal with your reference. Plot pressure vs. angle, do a regression analysis which Excel has, and compare pressure at desired angle to a flat plat to which the wind pressure is normal.
