i have a steel structure and i need to check wind drift.
When checking the wind drift using the following load combination (D+0.5L+Wa) ASCE/SEI 7-21-clause CC.2.2
do i need to include the national load required by the direct analysis method

I was not aware that wind drifted?

The AISC Design Guide Section 3.2, Step 10 says to not include notional loads.

Notional loads are for stability analysis, so they wouldn't be included for drift serviceability.

Thanks for all your kind reply
