Will you help me select an OPC server ? 1

I am working on a site automated with S7 connected to each other through Ethernet. They asked me for a new HMI system working on Ethernet connected PCs grabbing data from all the PLCs. I know very little about OPC servers. I have contacted the Matrikon company but they do not support Ethernet Communication OPC servers for Siemens. I wonder if anybody here have used and will advice me for a supplier. Does the Siemens itself support an OPC ?

Siemens have OPC servers for Ethernet. It is called "Softnet S7 Ethernet". But you may find that Siemens is difficult to setup. I find that it is not a good selection for a beginner.
I hear that Kepwares OPC servers are a lot easier to setup.
They are double the price, but it would be worth it.
