Will there be problems with the cutting section if the laser cutting speed is too fast or too slow?

I bought a 6000W laser cutting machine, YiHai laser. If the cutting speed is too fast, the bottom of the cross section will be tilted and slag will be hung; if the cutting speed is too slow, the cross section will be rough, the cut will be widened, and the sharp corners will be over-burned. I contacted the YiHai Laser manufacturer, and they gave me some answers, but I still don't understand why this is happening.

Thank you for the information you provided me. The professional team at YiHai Laser gave an explanation about this problem. YiHai Laser said that if the cutting speed is too fast, the bottom spark will tilt backwards, and the cutting will not be thorough, and the plate will not absorb enough laser energy. It will cause the bottom of the cross-section stripe to tilt and hang slag. If the cutting speed is too slow, the cutting spark will not spread and will be small. It will cause the cross section to be rough, the cutting seam to become wider, and the sharp corners to be overburned. Normal cutting sparks spread from top to bottom, and the cutting is smooth and there is no slag at the bottom.

This is not particularly different than saw cutting something at a sub-optimal speed
