Wildfire 4 schools edition crashes

Hi, I have Pro Engineer wildfire 4 schools edition on a Dell M70 laptop & a PC. Both crash at the same point i.e. when I create an assembly & select orient mode when alining a component. A couple of seconds after I click the tick the program just shuts down.
I have tried this using 2 basic rectangle components so it is not a processor/ graphics/ memory problem as I can easily create an assembly with over 200 parts. The problem only occurs when I use orient mode.

The only conclusion I can come up with is I'm just not going to have to use 'orient mode'.
Simple but effective.
