Why Helix doesn't work

Hi everyone.

I was wondering why helix doesn't work.
The help says to sketch a cicle, then select it and click over the helix button or the menu command.

Well, the menu command or the button in the curves toorbar are grayed out. Am I missing another step ?

Draw your circle, then close the sketch. Then re-select the circle and Insert>Curves>Helix. It should work.
