Today I'm looking at ISO 281.

ISO 281:2007 is $240
DIN ISO 281:2007 is $186
BS ISO 281:2007 is $318

I've never been crazy enough to own more than one such version of any standard, but I've yet to observe a difference. Comments please.

Thanks,

David

There is no content difference among ISO 281, BS ISO 281, or DIN ISO 281. DIN translates English language standards from ISO and CEN into German language. BS literally does nothing but "approve" the ISO standard and append their title page onto it. Why the price varies so much? The vagaries of supply and demand...

So it would appear, then, that adding German language translation devalues the document. I don't mind skipping over pages of German.

I believe most standards organizations price their standards per page of content. It might be as simple as each of them have their own per-page rate.

DIN ISO 281 will not be dual language, only German or only English.
