I have been looking for a Bronze Valve that meets MESC Standards so far I have not found one and I have MESC Additional Requirement SPE 77/105 rev. 11-06-2001. I have tried Nibco, McDonald and Apollo. 2 q's 1. Is there a more up to date SPE 77/105? 2. Does SPE 77/105 also apply to Ball Valves ( doc says Globe, Check, Gate)? I would really appreciate any feed back.

SPE 77/105 is now dated 4th March 2005. It does not apply to ball valves; only to globe, gate, and check valves to BS 5154. In 1998, when Shell did have the sense to keep on top of its purchasing quality, the accepted suppliers were:
Bestobell
Crane Fluid
Hattersly Newman
Hender
Shipham

Steve Jones
Materials & Corrosion Engineer

Thanks SJones, that was a real help.
