Insterested in hydraulic computaions for Vortex prediction in closed vessels among other things. Any sources or approaches available in electronic formate?

Unless there is something on the MathSoft site I cannot help much. I have a copy of some work - "Vortex Method Simulation of Turbulent Flow" by Peter S. Bernard that I could send you if you will contact me directly. I found it on the net.

Summary:This project aims to capitalize on recent advances in fast, grid-free vortex methods to develop new capabilities for predicting complex turbulent flows ***

Research Objective: To develop a vortex method capable of predicting turbulent flow in arbitrary geometries.

I, too, am interested in CFD in probably a more limited way. I would like a program to calculate surface disturbance generation and propogation for water flow in open channels. I would also be willing to PAY for something.
k

<They are just Jealous
Try mathcad's Collaboratory at collab.mathcad.com. Note the absence of the <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> have a section for Chemical Engineering which might have what you need.

Imagineer
