White metal bearing composition 1

Our customer wants to change tin based white metal to lead based white metal for his 100 MW Hydro generator bearings. What will be the repercussions ? Where can I find info on these bearing metal compositions ?

ASTM B23 gives details.
The lead based Babbitt Metals have lower strength than the tin base so the load carrying capacity is reduced.

Thx carburize. I downloaded the std b23 (though $28 for 3 pages seems a bit stiff). It was quite informative.
