Hi everyone,
every once in a while I will do a drawing of a part that has points but the points do not show up in the drawing even with the 3d points option turned on in properties for the view. I have checked to see if they show up in the hidden space and they do not. I can insert a view into the same drawing from a different part and the points will show up. Any thoughts? thanks.

be sure to check if points not hidden in 3D.

NO, THEY ARE NOT HIDDEN IN 3D. ALL POINTS ARE SHOWN IN 3D BUT NOT SHOWING UP IN THE DRAWING VIEW OR DRAWING HIDDEN VIEW. THE OPTION TO SHOW 3D POINTS IN DRAWING IS SELECTED

THANKS FERDO. WILL LOOK IN TO IT

Matt,

Possibly the drawing is linked only to PartBody. Right click over the View name and select View Object --> Link Modification
A menu box should pop up and tell you what you are pointed to.

I linked a view to PartBody but you can modify this to the whole part or add geometric sets. With the Link modification window open, return to 3D and select what you would like to add. Once selected switch windows back to the drawing and you will see the additional items in 3D elements to add. Select Add All and the drawing will update with the new information.

Derek
