Ok, from what i understand in water treatment (in this case in a power generation plant) there are at least two priliminary purification methods: "Water clarification" and "Water filtration"

I imagine that with a certain number of dissolved or suspended solids, water clarification is required, and below those numbers, it's ok to just use filtration.

When is it required to use water clarification as a preliminary water purification method in the water treatment of a power generation plant

You are probably going to look into the use of clarification when the suspended solids concentration gets above 20 mg/l and definitely use clarification when the suspended solids concentration gets over 35 mg/l.

Thank you bimr. Here's a star for your valuable post!
