whats is AL6162 1

Hi Everyone,

I just recently had a part chemically analyzed to verify that is it AL6061 (ASTM B221)

The lab results came back and it was actually AL6162.

I tried to find mechanical properties of this alloy but could not find a single thing.

Has anyone come across this alloy before? Is it better than 6061? Where can I find mechanical properties for it?

thanks for the links, but I've seen them already. The SAE requires you to purchase it and the matweb only provides chemical and nothing on mechanical prop.

After more digging, I actually found some info.
