What would be the best suspension design for an all wheel drive family car built in 10,000 per year quantities?

A minimally changed adaptation of parts of a vehicle built in quantities of 10,000 per day.

The truth is that any competent suspension will do, 99% of the time. Well to be honest even a marginally unfashionable suspension, say a live rear axle, will do, 99% of the time.

I suggest for your project that you do not consider a twist beam rear suspension, as they can be a bear to get right.

If you can package high spring towers then MacPherson all round will reduce your design time, and double the volume.
You will have to do some things to get the required understeer in that case.
