What means ANSYS??

ANSYS started at Westinghouse corp during the 1960s. I believe ANSYS is just a name, given because the lawyers said it "didn't mean anything". The code was developed by Dr. John A. Swanson around the late 1960s/early 1970s. Go here for some more information.
