What is this? Its from Hammond machinery Builders 1958

Basically it's a goniometric collet holder, intended for electrolytic grinding. The text on sheet 5 of the patent sort of explains it.

tks, I read thru that, but its above me. Does it have any use today, besides a museum?
 
Like any specialized tooling, people who happen to need it, need it really bad. ... but people who don't happen to need it right now would have no interest.

I showed the item in question to a retired toolroom machinist and his immediate response was it was a device to facilitate the sharpening of tool bits. His opinion was that it was made for sharpening milling cutters.
 
tks, think it still has a use? I might try to sell it, maybe 100$?
