What is the Extinguishment Requirement for Lodging or Rooming Occupancy ?

According to NFPA 5000 in chapter 23 i don't understand when to use sprinkler or not and there is no mention of stand pipes or portable fire extinguisher .

Can any engineer clarify this point ?

Refer to NFPA 1 for Sprinklers, FE and standpipes under title "Where Required" to understand where each shall be used.
