Hello,

I wonder if someone can help me to explain the difference between SENER and ALLSE in Abaqus?

Thanks in advance for your help
Best regards

SENER is elastic strain energy density (elastic strain energy per unit volume) and can be requested for field output. ALLSE is recoverable strain energy and can be requested only for history output.

Thank you for your response, is there a relation between them?

Yes, basically both are elastic strain energies but in case of SENER it’s per unit volume while in case of ALLSE it’s in the whole model.

Thank you for your help, the last question can we obtain ALLSE in each integration point in Abaqus?

No, ALLSE belongs to the group of total energy output so it can be only requested in form of a single value (at a given moment of time) for the whole model or for its specific region.
