What is Bright dip finish for 360 brass?

Hi friends,

Finish spec for a 360 brass part is mentioned as BRIGHT DIP on the drawing. Is it like PLATING or CHROMATE DIP? OR it is something else?

From what I understand, it is just a chemical polishing process, but I don't know much beyond that.
