What is a good constitutive model for isotropic metals?

I am currently modelling the transverse compression of a gold fibre using FEA software, and I was wondering what plasticity model would be good. I'm thinking of using Johnson-Cook's plasticity model, but I then have no idea where to get the necessary parameters. If there is no good model, where can I obtain the values for stress-strain curves?

Sorry if my post is vague, I'm extremely new in this field and could use some enlightening.
 
I'm not familiar with FEA modelling, but gold is completely ductile and does not work harden. So there will no difference between longitudinal and transverse properties. The stress/strain curve should be all you need.
 
Yeah that's what I was thinking since gold is isotropic, but at some point in my compression modelling it is bound to experience plastic deformation so I was wondering if there is any way to model that.

Is there any catalog out there which has stress-strain data for materials? I found Boyer's Atlas of Stress-Strain Curves, but it fortunately does not have the data for gold.
 
Google seems to be able to find a whole bunch of them.
 
I've found stress-strain curves, but I would need specific values for gold in order to input them into my model. Did you happen to come across a specific one for gold?
 
What were your search terms? Did they include "gold"?
 
yeah i looked for "gold stress-strain curves", "gold stress-strain data", "gold tensile stress-strain". Most of the results that came up were for gold film (which I could theoretically use, but the mechanical properties may differ slightly), or gold fibers embedded in other materials and structures for reinforcement.

What did you find, may I ask?
