Did I blink and miss something? I was looking for the Agilent/HP range of pHEMTs and microwave detector diodes and I couldn’t find any components on the Agilent web site. Has this section been sold off or something. I looked at the history page on the Agilent website and the number of employees seems to have been plummeting over the last few years.

One interesting note on Agilent, a few years back while at Raytheon, they shipped a test system with over $17K extra hardware options than we ordered.
We told them that and they said "oops, just keep it".
I would guess they had to send someone else another $17K in add ons since we probably got their machine. Ahhh, the shipping department.... maybe someone had just been laid off.

It's still a good company with good products and alot of obsolete products to boot.

Yeah, boy. When you overcharge by a factor of X3 for test equipment, $17K is chump change!

Avago ... just rolls of the tongue.

Thanks IRstuff. I will email my colleagues at work so we don't waste time all hunting for the same info!

HP change the name for the equpment subsydiary to Agilent so people will not mistake the HP abreviation with High Price LOL
