I'm looking for some feedback on what is the fastest way to cure a flat piece of pvc gel. the options I see are.

a. blow heat directly on top of it at max temp it can take

b. teflon coated hot plate on top of it at curing temp.

.040" thick 4" diameter circle of pvc gel. on a teflon coated aluminum plate

the purpose is to cure it

curing temp 325F.

I am trying to force cure as fast as possible w/o, scorching the surface. is the scorching point based only on a higher temperature than the curing temp?

are there other ways of curing than described?

I presume that you mean by a PVC gel is a PVC plastisol. These are PVC resin dissolved in plasticisers. The moulding process normally involves pouring into a mould or coating an object then oven or air drying.

325 might be a little to hot if it takes a long while to cure.

I would place it on a hot plate and blow warm air over it to speed up the process.

Pat
