I have been analysing a relatively simple assembly made up of two solid bodies and a sheet metal body -- it's a sheet metal bracket bolted to a truck that holds two copmonents (both are bolted to a vertical face). The error message that I'm getting comes when I try to copy my frequency study to a dynamic study in order to use some PSD curves that I have. The error message states: "Frequency studies with beam mesh, inplane loading effect due to applied loads or any type of remote loading cannot be copied to dynamic studies."
I've run the frequency study treating the sheet metal part as sheet metal and as a solid, and I get the same error message for both when trying to copy to a dynamic study. I have no additional external loads (remote or otherwise) applied to the study, and no beam mesh. I'm assuming that the parts bolted (rigid pins) to the bracket are creating an inplane loading effect, but I'm not sure how to go about modifying the study in order to copy it to a dynamic study. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing?
