Hi all,

We all know file translations these days are such an important part of the system because of the number of CAD software available in the market. I just would like to know what people are using more commonly.
I understand that the built-in translators in Pro-E do a nice job but they don't come with the basic package and cost more to buy. And when it comes to stand alone translators, I don't seem to find a whole lot of reliable, proven packages (may be its just me!) out there (We came up with one called as Transmagic that we are testing out rightnow).
So I thought I'd ask you guys as I trust you more than my own researching capabilities

. I know this is more of an opinion poll than an actual question, but I think here's where we can share ideas rather than stare at numbers.

Thanks all for any suggestions.

Hey Anandel,

Have a look to PS-exchange of DELCAM :

http://www.delcam.com/general/software/ps-exchange.asp

Downloaded for free, you can import and view the major native and other CAD-file formats. After buying vouchers, you can convert them as well. I don't have an idea about the quality of the result, but it's worth trying.

Regards, Hugo.

Interesting problem you want to clear

I will try with ProE built in translators
