welding on mirror surface

Hi there,

As anyone has experience in welding on mirror polished surface. The insert have a 2mm dent (depth around 0.3mm) have a repair job but preferably we don't want to make a new insert.
Insert material in HPM38 so is it possible in we laser weld the dent and re polish it?

Will the welding mark visible after polishing?
For welding what is material to use HPM38 or other material.

Please advise.
